You guys know that Three Stooges bit of Who's on First!!!! It's a really smart and funny way to laugh at yourself, but it can also be frustrating. In my home I feel like I'm who's on first and my daughter is what's on second.
She called for me to tell me "Mom, Ya Gotta See This!!!"
I'm like "I gotta see what?"
She said, "No, it's a show called Ya Gotta See This!"
So I get up to see it and it's basically America's Funniest Videos for kids.
Our who's on first saga does not end there. At least three or four times in the day we have a
"What did you say?" argument. It starts with her saying something to me and I reply back with what did you say, and she says huh? and so I ask again what did you say, and she asks me what did you say, and I answer her with Yeah, that's what I'm asking you what did YOU say? and she asks huh? And then I just forget it because I'm frustrated.
We also have the I heard you say it in my head, but you didn't say it out loud. I asked her what kind of cake chocolate or vanilla. In my head I'm certain she said chocolate, when she gets the cake she tells me vanilla. Okay whatever!
And last but not least I asked this question once but forgot so I'm asking again.
Me: "How was your day at school? "
Kid: "It was good."
15 minutes later
Me: "How was your day at school? "
Kid: "It was good."
Thanks Larry, Curly and Moe!
